Microservice architecture scares a lot of people. It's just a well-designed modular monolith that can produce individually deployable artifacts for each module. You don't need to change your framework or stack, even if you need microservices.

Not much of a designer myself, but I had to try Penpot because it's open-source, and I might have to advocate for it. Redesigned a website just to give @penpotapp a try. It's very performant (even with multiple layers and components), and it just works.
