In Islam, women as well as men have the right to offer shelter and security to anyone, even an idolater or a war enemy. However the refugee must not be a threat to Muslims.

Part of the Ulul’azm is prophet Ibrahim (Abraham), which is known to be “the father of faith” he was an epitome of compassion, obedience, faith,etc. he was so faithful to almighty Allah that he was named KHALILULLAHI (friend of Allah).
