@itzsarialue Art direction, lore, and continuity are important, you can't just disregard that.
@itzsarialue After a decade I'd expect things to move forward not backwards. First impressions are not good. Tone is way off and this artstyle choice albeit pretty it is not what i expect from a DA title. Gameplay reveal is going to need to be spectacular to win a lot of people back over.
@itzsarialue It is not just art style. People seem happy there, the darkspawn don't look terrifying. It is the end of the world, but everyone is "Let's gooo, heeey". Thedas Calls trailer got the right tone
@itzsarialue Its Fortnite. Too Cartoony for what Bioware is known for. A Hard pass so far.
@itzsarialue People see something SLIGHTLY cartoonish and say its Fortnite or Overwatch 💀
@itzsarialue Nah. I'll just play Baldurs Gate while I wait for Obsidian's Avowed. This looks like a Fortnite expansion pack.
@itzsarialue I'm still excited but the art style is bad... With every dragon age game they change the art style but at least was somewhat consistent with realism and now looks like Fortnite or animated and it's just doesn't fit, specially the dark spawn :( I'm still hyped for that gameplay!
@itzsarialue We will never get good darkspawn again.....
@itzsarialue Finally. A dragon age arena shooter with lootboxes and micro transactions. I am sure it is going to be tremendous live service.
@itzsarialue Putting aside whether the art style is 'good' or not (Completely subjective) Why should someone who loved Dragon Age: Origins be excited to play a game that has evidently discarded every aspect of that game's identity? There is no genetic relation between this game and that game.
@itzsarialue I miss first dark fantasy Dragon Age this one is not for me specially after Baldur gate 3
@itzsarialue I've said this on other posts but the art direction has changed every single time they've released a new game. I feel like people forgot how much everyone shat their pants when DA2 first showed screenshots cause it was so different from origins. Same thing with Inquisition
@itzsarialue BioWare must have known that such a change in not only art style, but also the general vibe, would be seen as highly controversial. I'm hoping I'll be fully on board after the gameplay footage.
@itzsarialue What’s back, it looks like it has nothing to do with Dragon Age other than the title?
@itzsarialue That’s fine for art style to change…. But why did it change to the point that it looks like they went from mature setting to PG to get a 7 year old to play a happy bubbly game?
@itzsarialue Why are all games becoming this cartoony nonesense? Trailer was like watching some generic hero shooter game. They literally killed the Dragon Age atmosphere. I would rather deal with pronoun characters than this kiddie direction
@itzsarialue I don't understand the hate for this reveal. I mean, it's a CGI trailer. It is supposed to be cinematic and fun! Wait until tomorrow for the full gameplay reveal before truly judging anything!
@itzsarialue this looks like a hero shooter fortnite mobile game or some shit. for a "dark fantasy game" they sure made it look NOT anything dark fantasy
@itzsarialue This looks like garbage. Fort Dragon Nite Age
@itzsarialue Where's dragon age? Cause I see young adult fantasy novel number 9000. Not dragon age.
@itzsarialue That trailer screams no one understands the game or the fans but lets make something that looks like another popular game style and steal that for our trailer - um-kay.
@itzsarialue This doesn’t resemble Dragon Age in the slightest…
@itzsarialue When I see a DA trailer, I expect grim dark fantasy, just like the first Dreadwolf trailer, just like all previous DA games trailer. Not this jumpy style that gives an online game cliche vibe. I was hyped when I saw dreadwolf, not anymore
