A big reason why big winners keep winning big is just from you not being able to stay present while playing with them. You get stuck in your head, trying way too hard to be perfect. Until you reverse this and play from presence, they'll always stay above you.

There's a big difference between not outwardly expressing your emotions, and not feeling them inside yourself. Most poker players think these go together. The result: you're not present and can't enjoy your wins while losses eat you up.

Discipline and willpower are not the keys to success. They are the byproduct of you stripping away all your emotional avoidance that keeps you from getting things done. When all that stuff is gone, it's easy to just do what you want day after day.

Fear is never the problem. The problem is that you never learned how to be present with that fear, and so it consumes you and then you do dumb stuff you regret. No amount of knowledge will fix this—when the fear comes, you'll just do it again.
