Just been to my six year-old's nativity play at his S Dublin school. Kids from Turkey, China, India, S Africa, Kenya. They all sang Away in a Manger in Irish, Sa stábla, sa mháinséar. Loudly. This is modern Ireland. The attractiveness of our culture, the warmth of its welcome.

I can not remember a time when a South African batting line-up has been so exposed playing the short ball. This calls for a complete overall of the domestic cricket schedule. Gotta play more hard 4 day cricket to upskill players, more Test matches... and select tough cricketers.
