Mom was an addict & alcoholic, dad was MIA, homeless, walked until I had holes in my shoes, ward of the state until age 21…but I made it out alright! Went to college, earned a BA and M.Ed degrees, became a teacher married a teacher, won teacher of the year, now serving as AP! 🙌🏾
