@the_transit_guy I doubt it’ll be replaced any time soon. Best bet is 4-5 years. Sure they’ll clear the waterway within a month, but the bridge itself they’ll start from scratch.
@JamesDeroest @the_transit_guy The best example i can think of is the #sunshineskywaybridge in St Petersburg, FL. The old 1950s era span got struck by a ship in 1980 and collapsed killing 30+ many of those on a Greyhound bus. Took 7 years to rebuild it into the current cable stayed span
