I scraped Ulta's website for skincare products and their ingredients 😆 Not really sure where this project is headed but it was fun! Backend - Python/Flask/BeautifulSoup Frontend - JavaScript/React
@jess_coding Scraping, aggregating, and filtering are great fun. Tons of killer products have started this way.
@jess_coding That's awesome, Jessica! 👏 Maybe filter out vegan products or ingredients that are known to cause reactions on sensitive skin? That's at least what I look for. 😄
@jess_coding Nice!! Impressive!!! When I was scraping @DThompsonDev’s tweets for @TheDannyBot, I used a Google spreadsheet as a database.
@jess_coding This is super cool! I feel like searching across products by ingredients (included or excluded!) would be super useful…
@jess_coding cc @grimalkina One of the squad!
@jess_coding Yes!!! Get it!! I know you'll create something amazing!! ❤️🔥
@jess_coding That looks great Jessica👍, do you also know Django ...?
@jess_coding Seeing this feels great. I wanna be like you 😅
@jess_coding This is so cool!! Love the choice of your backend — Flask/Python is so easy to use! You could add in search functionality, and the ability to filter by ingredients. 🤷🏽♂️
