Get ready for the @Scott_Wiener spin on this fiasco: if we don't keep pumping unlimited tax $ into BART this will keep happening and the Bay Area will be totally gridlocked. Traffic jams from the last BART outage in May were nowhere near as bad as those during the 2013 strike.

I'm sorry. Although I have some sympathy for Harvard, the First Amendment does not give it a right to taxpayer money. Freedom of Speech is a NEGATIVE right; it does not confer an obligation on the government to fund the speaker. wsj.com/us-news/educat…

California local governments are using voter initiatives to get approval for tax increases with a 50%+1 vote. To close this loophole and force governments to get a 2/3rds vote for more taxes, we need to get the Local Taxpayer Protection Act on the ballot. hjta.org/saveprop13/
