One of the best ways to keep track of RSVPs and be sure to send reminders to the right people is to send a calendar invitation to each attendee. You can copy & paste all email addresses into the 'invited' field - and make them invisible to everyone

If you open your #VirtualEvents with an interactive session it sets the scene for the whole event. It conditions people to expect to network and activates attendees socially

Many #eventprofs found it hard to sell #virtualevents from scratch during covid. The main issue was the revenue that was committed to events that turned virtual didn't feel like proportionate ROI for participants, so a lot of trust was lost.

The pre-conference social may be a good way forward for #hybridevents perhaps even replacing the classic 'workshop'. You could make it a VIP event and allow people to get to know each other virtually before they meet in person.

I think successful awards-based #virtualevents would need to replicate both the surprise element and the glamour online. It's hard.

The awards event model is interesting. More barriers to entry, easier for attendees to get the budget to attend a daytime rather than a glamorous nighttime event. Although there is such a strong hospitality component that I haven't seen many successful awards based #VirtualEvents

One of the best presentations we had at our #virtualevents was when the speaker's tech failed and they couldn't use PowerPoint. It ended up being the most engaging presentation on our agenda. People asked their way through it!

If hiring a videographer for the whole content of your #virtualevents is expensive, consider hiring one to build templates and train your staff on simple editing tools like veed.io

Many #virtualevents are too eager to show off high rates. When I attend long virtual events they're usually on a second screen and I soon cease to pay attention. I expect most people are doing the same

Similar to the reverse charge, you could also charge your sponsors according to how well they utilize all the options you are giving them to make the most of the event.
