“The Gospel After Christendom” @TrevinWax does a great job of explaining need for cultural apologetics while also stressing the importance of the apologetic as priority over the cultural aspect. I loved his idea of caring about neighbors,in part by understanding neighborhoods.

Imagine, if you dare, a two party system in which members of both parties spent half as much time in negotiation as they spent on social media blaming each other. They're actually both lying and pointing the figure, and its pretty exhausting.

Look man...I'm all for lest government spending. But deciding that paying for kids' school lunch is a priority in saving tax dollars is about the goofiest thing I've heard. If they want lunch let them go earn it...get out of here.

I believe wholeheartedly that Christians should ABSOLUTELY engage in politics and government in order to make much of Jesus in the public square. I differ on a lot of really popular pastors on X on what making much of Jesus in the political arena looks like.

I'll be honest...the comments on Erik's post are what has been so frustrating for me. If someone on "our side" says something we believe it whole-heartedly. If someone on "their side" says something...we assume the worst. Erik is 1000% right here.

All the "if your pastor didn't do this or your pastor didn't do that this Sunday" talk is exhausting. Man, go serve in your local congregation, love people well, make much of Jesus and let the Holy Spirit work. All these grandiose and definitive statements are goofy.
