@joshtriedcoding thank you for the reminder, sir
@joshtriedcoding @ClerkDev you gotta add support for this in ur <SignIn /> component
@joshtriedcoding I was waiting for a upstash post on how to store the last used account + userid in redis and retrieve at login time :)
@joshtriedcoding I've never had to worry about this, I worry about which Google account I used 🤦🏻
@joshtriedcoding shipped last week! x.com/grinich/status…

@joshtriedcoding Tell me how with Clerk?! On BetterAuth it's easy.
@joshtriedcoding @segall_max for your consideration sir
@joshtriedcoding how about if you detect it, just show that option and hide the others in a secondary menu 🤔
@joshtriedcoding Interesting idea. Could this also increase security risks by revealing usage patterns?
@joshtriedcoding Better allow user to link both Google & Github to the same in-app account - then user can feel free to login with different methods on different devices. Why nobody doing that?
@joshtriedcoding Why? Are you really logging in through so many different auths that you need a reminder of the last method you used?
@joshtriedcoding makes sense, thanks for the reminder ;)
@joshtriedcoding But it might accidentally reveal sensitive usage patterns in shared devices.. 🥲
@joshtriedcoding Legit pro-tip, adding that 'last used' badge is a game-changer. nice. let us be connected!
@joshtriedcoding Agree, need that for passwords too. Every time I reset mine, it’s like: “Use something other than your old password.” Wow, thanks Einstein.
@joshtriedcoding I don't think local storage actually solved the problem here, since if I forget which gmail account I used, it's likely that it's been a while since I used the service, so it is possible that the local storage is deleted or it is on another browser
@joshtriedcoding Litteraly takes 1 codex prompt. Look at that beauty.
@joshtriedcoding spoiler: it’s always gonna be google
@joshtriedcoding Why is it useful? Never saw one, never needed one
@joshtriedcoding One step more, add which email used if user selects google. I do know I used google last time but not which email x.com/notparbez/stat…

@joshtriedcoding How to do it? Any tutorial or doc reference?
@joshtriedcoding Simple but brilliant. Wish every app did this by default instead of making us hunt for the right login method every time.
@joshtriedcoding Or maybe just keep the user signed in until they explicitly sign out.
@joshtriedcoding Very useless and potential account attack. Learn how to use a password manager like @KeePassXC.
@joshtriedcoding And get booted by google for brand violation 🤣
@joshtriedcoding Why support multiple providers? Google is enough
@joshtriedcoding Why should I add it when I only have Google Auth?
@joshtriedcoding Or provide only one method
@joshtriedcoding Small things like that usally make huge change.
