@KateJopling There's no unobjectionable word for older people, because what people dislike/what society disdains isn't the term, it's the status. It's being old. No euphemism is euphemistic enough. I go with "elders," myself, but "old people" is also fine by me. I'm 71. I'm old. It's fine.

If we tell people to stay 6 feet away, inevitably someone will think they are being safe by staying 6 ft 1 inch apart and another by staying 5 ft 11 inches apart. Both will think the other is the idiot yet both are playing the wrong game. Don’t take unnecessary risks period.

Specific issues: 1) Coordinating only 3 visits 2) Staffing when pple have side effects 3) Consenting (3-page written consent...residents have dementia, families can't come in, verbal consent not allowed) 4) Many staff don't want it.
