For me, every election night Hank would be set up at our office reporting to the community results and analysis. There is no one who loved this community more than Hank Booth, truly a one-of-a-kind.

My mom made my room a sewing room right after I left for college, yesterday we made Jake's room a quilting space so I crank out a quick quilt. History repeats itself.

Preparing for the renovations in our Courthouse office means packing up my office. Going through 18 years of clerk/elections, but also all the years of my kids hanging out in my office, finding their toys etc.

In 2020, we implemented Ballot Scout, a ballot tracking system It takes extra work to get the individual tracking on each envelope,but worth it. One of my favorite things to do is watch the ballots move around the state and the country. 74% of our ballots are already delivered.

My wife and I have dealt with the threats and stuff for years, but my kids become a different story but I think it will just keep getting worse. And I know nothing I am dealing with is like what those in other states are dealing with everyday 3/?.

Breaking silence, so bear with me. Another friend and amazing public servant is leaving her position due to threats and harassment, this is just getting worse,at some point communities have to decide if they will stand up for offices and staff or just let the exodus continue.1/?

Jake dropped an original work today, you can find it on Spotify, Amazon, Apple, anywhere you get music. There is a clean and explicit, in the hip-hop/rap genre. It is really good and the lyrics are powerful. Jake did all of it, vocals, mixing, etc. Okay bragging a little.

This weekend included Dawn's graduation with her Doctorate, a party for both Dawn and Jake graduating, Dawn's hooding, Jake's final Debate and Forensics Awards ceremony, hosting family and a walk down the Hill. Exhausting but amazing.

Jake will debate John Marshall from Free State in for the 6A State Championship in Lincoln Douglas debate. What a way to end, debating for everything against one of the best in the country
