I talked to a super smart 20 year old this week. All the potential in the world, but had a major major flaw in his thinking. This flaw is becoming the most common mistake I am seeing young people make early in their career. Let's break it down:

I don’t think we’re doing young people with big ambitions any favors by telling them they won’t need to work very hard. To me it’s an example of being short term nice long term unkind. It’d be better to focus on how to take great breaks, boundaries, finding work you love, etc.

How is it that doctors are allowed to work 24-hour shifts? We restrict the number of hours that a truck driver can drive for safety reasons, but a doctor can work around the clock. What am I missing?

i'm a huge proponent of community. define it however u want. sports team, nft project, ur nationality, etc. many people never got this sense of belonging from their families. few purer feelings in life. forget what others say about u. embrace connection. be proud to rep something
