this here is crock: "it would be problematic to use ‘airborne’ for all pathogens that spread through the air. “They think it’s too scary, too frightening, has too many connotations and it will cause panic, so they chose ‘through the air’,”" nature.com/articles/d4158…
@jvipondmd Is this a Leslie Nelson movie? Politics, pandemic, people won't vaccinated or listen to scientists. Sounds like a very dark Nelson movie.

@jvipondmd Too scary to governments and business, who'd have to pay to mitigate and protect us!!

@jvipondmd Just absolutely wild! This was the decision?!
@jvipondmd @karsatov So we say it's not even though it is? There's a word for that. It's called LYING

@jvipondmd I think it's scary with this level of manipulation. That can make me to feel a panic. The only reasonable way is to inform people so everybody can make informed decision on how to protect themselves, versus not even being aware they need to be protected, from what and how.
@jvipondmd Being scared of airborne pathogens is good, actually, if it spurs people to action to avoid spreading such pathogens. Like that's the whole point of public health messaging.
