So much talk re: an Alternative Made-in-Stoney-Creek plan but they provide no details, no motions at council, no initiative - but we're supposed to take it seriously. They had an opportunity at council to describe their imaginary ideas but decided instead to shut down debate.

@mattjelly And they’ve had 4 months to work on their made-in-StoneyCreek-by-real-leaders solutions. It seems they were counting on Andrea not exercising her strong Mayor powers and now they’re scrambling (and lashing out).
@gcrawfordHamOnt Yeah they're more than willing to vote for apparently non-binding emergency declarations of a housing crisis but have fainting spells as soon as anyone starts working on the problem with any sense of urgency
@mattjelly @gcrawfordHamOnt Yep. It's all just a big game to take everyone's attention away from the $56M new developments & taxpayers have been & will continue to shell out for 2 NEW downtown Hamilton parking structures. Sickening!
@SaundersWard10 @gcrawfordHamOnt Do you think those are primarily for the benefit of people who live in downtown Hamilton?
@mattjelly @SaundersWard10 @gcrawfordHamOnt They are not. One is for bay front park so people from the suburbs and rural areas can drive down to enjoy the park, the other is so folks can drive here for random sports and entertainment events. Cancel them both plow the money into housing.
@karl_andrus @mattjelly @gcrawfordHamOnt LOL! But our BIA doesn't need parking so people from downtown & other areas can drive down for enjoyment or events. Nor will the new projected 30,000+ local Stoney Creek area residents want to drive/cycle to SC BIA. Gotcha!
@SaundersWard10 @mattjelly @gcrawfordHamOnt We also have ample parking already downtown the lot at city hall, the old board of Ed, convention centre, jackson square, a ton of private service parking.. all available. Parking downtown also isn't free.
