When the kids called for a Socratic Seminar on banning recess, I knew it'd be a boring one. Secretly choosing a few kids to find evidence to side against was perfect! The jaws that dropped when their friends were saying recess is a detriment to society! Lol! @collierschools

Roll-a-Text Feature is a fun way to get kids to really pay attention to text features! They roll, write what the text feature is called, and then what they learned from that feature. Students work to be the first team with all 6 completed before the time is up! @collierschools

They almost beat me today, twice! Now that they've learned all prefixes/suffixes for fourth grade, it's time to play! We combined Concentration with Connect 4 to create an awesome game for reviewing the affixes! Only model behavior earns a ticket to play! @collierschools

Students learned how to dissect questions and how to eliminate the incorrect parts of answer choices. What started with cutting up question/answer choices has led to students dissecting on their own test papers, using dictionaries for words they don't understand. @collierschools
