You can easily see the low clouds hanging on early this morning in the areas that had rain last night, much more sun off to the east. Also, note the grayish brown on the far left, that's Canadian wildfire smoke that may enter the mountains later today.

We'll have to keep our guard up for storms tomorrow afternoon and evening for the 49ers game. A cold front moving in will touch off strong storms through the metro. Before the storms arrive, it's gonna be hot and humid! Temps warm up to near 90° as you tailgate before the game.

Morning low clouds will move out quickly and then we heat up. Highs jump to the 90s today for the first time in nearly 3 weeks in Charlotte. A touch of humidity will add a few degrees to these numbers too. Stay cool!

Showers are moving through the mountains again this morning, just not as steady as yesterday. These are moving northeast and will bypass Charlotte to the north. A few more strong storms are possible up here later this afternoon.

Another very nice day is on tap for us with warmer temps in the mid to upper 80s this afternoon. Really low threat for a stray storm late this afternoon/evening. Best chances stay in the mountains and I-40 corridor.

Oh, it's going to get toasty over the next few days. Temps return to 90 degrees by Friday and Saturday. Rain chances stay quite low through this stretch with the best shot on Saturday as a cold front moves in.
