Mutual aid, community gardens, libraries, community fridges, etc are ESSENTIAL too It’s basic somatic theory People need safety, they need places & people to regulate with, etc Who else is giving out food & supplies for free consistently? People can’t eat theory

And this is why I’m struggling finding a political home Too many don’t care about immediate material needs, won’t mask, & are too focused on teaching theory & protesting Theory is so important, but people can’t focus & learn if their survival needs aren’t being accounted for

I wnat to point out what this is: these people stopped masking and them worked backwards to decide when it wasn't necessary is when they stopped, because they desperately want to believe they are somehow different from the people they rightfully called out earlier in the pandemic

The nice thing about the church building being in a (temporary) state of underuse is that I can have my lunch indoors in a part of the church where: 1) I know for a fact no one has been breathing in >24 hours and 2) no one can hear me yell FUUUUUCK while I listen to @democracynow

We're not "playing covid." You're playing back-to-normal. Which is entirely unsustainable. I know grief. It's devastating. But you can't keep running from it. Not when your denial affects us all.
