I taught the local home school kids group about the water cycle and watersheds today. Here is two of the models that were made!
Edible electrode lab! Different toppings were different elements that are in the flux of various electrodes for welding.
Did some PD today and tried to “walk the cup” with the TIG welder. Not great but I only tried twice so I was happy.
Animal Science did a liver enzyme lab to show how the chemical reaction gives off heat!

Ag Business class created two cookie mini businesses this week. They have had to create a business plan, budget, marketing plan, complete cookie production, and are now selling their cookies. Whichever business profits the most wins!
Advanced Ag Mechanics has been studying hydraulics. They finished the unit up with building a mini press.
Students made models of the different shapes of metal profiles.
One of the greenhouse pineapple plants has a pineapple! Hope it ripens so we can taste test it!
I always start getting excited for school to start again by doing my bulletin boards. I have one finished and the other is almost done! Growth mindset!
The FFA Rewards trip this year brought us to KC for a Royals game and Great Wolf Lodge. Enjoyed my time with our great kids!
Freshmen FACS made BBQ Meatballs today. Some even took the recipe so they could make it for their families!
We finished up our last two candy creations today in Food Science. Orbs and Honey Hogs!
Candy creation #1 in food science. They invented Smoothie Bites!
We identified female reproductive anatomy today and worked through the process of artificial insimination.
I was very proud of the quality products my students grew for our annual plant sale this year! Thank you to everyone who came and supported future greenhouse endeavors!
A few Ag Mechanics projects were completed this week!
Food Science experimented with heating a sugar solution to observe the various stages of candy making.
FACS finished up learning a few different hand sewing skills this week. We will begin their rice pillows next week!
FACS learned how to cut material! We are beginning our hand sewing unit!
