my dad is surprising my mom with a trip to Jamaica but isn’t going to tell her until 24 hours prior leaving... do I tell her so she has time to go shopping, nails, etc. or let her possibly murder him for the short notice

When we were little my parents threw us a NYE party but set all the clocks forward so we thought it was midnight at 8:00. They put us to bed, brought in the babysitter, and went out for the night. This is the type of parent I aspire to be.

Girls will drink until their organs are on the verge of shutting down, not eat any breakfast the next morning, head to work after only getting 3hours of sleep, then beat themselves up cuz they forgot to take their makeup off before going to bed& that “isn’t healthy for your skin”
