Y’all, I feel overwhelmed pretty constantly these days. I could use some prayers. Please pray for my friends who most likely are also feeling this way (thus I’m not wanting to burden them).

I’ll probably delete this thread, because it’s personal, but it has me thinking (among other things) about how houses of worship are places to spend time with people at every stage of life. One room, once a week, the whole span of life. A small good thing.

Police tackling parents instead of saving children when the crucial moment came has to be the end. It has to be the end of your faith in police. The end of the idea that police exist to keep us safe. We need to move past this dangerous myth, now, and towards actual public safety.

10 years ago I went on a trip to Spain for a UMW research project. My trip mates said I should get on Twitter to share my quirky personality. I’ve tweeted very rarely but Twitter has become quite a thing since then. I guess I’ll tweet more because why not? #wildlife

Much of evangelicalism convinced us to spend our energy defending the Bible and God as if these needed protection over and above the people in our midst that do. Jesus said we’ll know his disciples by how they love, not by how militantly they defend their beliefs.
