I have never used graphql between backend services. I can imagine reasons both in favor and against… Has anyone done this? How did it go? (Not looking for “reasons to {always/never} use graphql”, just interested in experiences w using it between BE services)

You know what’s bullshit? Airport shop price gouging is bullshit… Listen I’m human, i forgot my earbuds. Now my options are to stare at the back of a headrest for many hours or pay $100 for a pair of sharpened-plastic Bluetooth pinecones with 8-bit audio quality *sigh*

I wonder if one reason I’m perplexed by anti-monorepo sentiments (in the context of a single Eng org) is because I basically take build systems like Buck2 for granted. Monorepos are just /the/ way to go for any Eng org that has multiple projects

Using Buck2 in a mixed rust/typescript monorepo is pretty amazing. It's so fast. The dependency management is fabulous. It's not easy. But it is cool as shit.
