Leeds City's fixture away at Lincoln City is held up as a great storm blows part of the main stand at Sincil Bank into a neighbouring field, injuring 7 people. After a short break in play, the game resumed, Leeds City suffering a 5-0 loss, 1908.

10,000 Leeds United fans amongst the almost 40,000 crowd away at Huddersfield Town, 1928. 1,200 fans went by bus, others by train, no doubt many walked and cycled too. Leeds lost 6-1 with Wainscoat scoring a penalty.

Believed to be the first game of Association football in Leeds. Leeds Rugby club invited representatives of the New Association game to play an exhibition match on a snow swept Holbeck Recreation ground on Boxing Day 1877. The Sheffield club brought goalposts, balls and umpires.
