We have a major incident on SBG2. The fire declared in the building. Firefighters were immediately on the scene but could not control the fire in SBG2. The whole site has been isolated which impacts all services in SGB1-4. We recommend to activate your Disaster Recovery Plan.

What a rare vision! A couple of #helicopters probably #CH53 escorted by four #Chinooks #CH47 near my house flying north-east. #avgeeks @bundeswehrInfo doesn’t have chinooks in their fleet. @USArmyEURAF maybe?

Interestingly, this C-160 had a run up in 2019 and even taxied a bit . The turboprop engines were running smoothly. I wonder if this aircraft could still fly, although maybe unsafe to? @apgcrew @airlinepilotguy #avgeeks #pilotsoftwitter youtu.be/dYqYsC47uW4

It’s 10 years ago when the first #Transall C-160 of @bundeswehrInfo found it rest at the Technikmuseum @museumtechnik Speyer. It’s last flight was filmed in 2011. Today it’s already weathered a little bit #avgeeks #pilotsoftwitter Video: youtu.be/PCDSJpPX_E8 via @YouTube

There’s lots of memories on that pictures. I’ve been lucky to fly as pax in one of those Mil Mi-8. And this exact Dash-8 is one of the first airplanes my best friend has flown as an FO, when he joined civil aviation in this exact outfit 👍👍
