@linuxopsys Imagine going through an open source project's code just so you can criticize it. Some people really have spare time
@linuxopsys Ironically this misses the point. The reason the codebase is a mess and won’t be fixed is because people don’t enjoy contributing to messy codebases.
@linuxopsys C is the language of gods and demigods. You are either in or out.
@linuxopsys I recently rekindled my love for C. Man, it feels so good actually having control over what your code does. And if you eff up, it's your fault and you just have to git gud. Also, it's soooo fast.
@linuxopsys Perfect. Otherwise send a rewrite in rust or zig.
@linuxopsys FFmpeg is a work of art and a global treasure. BTW
@linuxopsys Well if they’re gonna shit on it instead of fixing it 🤷♂️
@linuxopsys In FOSS this is the ONLY response really.
@linuxopsys Well, nothing is less helpful than "Your codebase is a mess", without any sort of motivation why it is a "mess". So yeah, I can understand that response.
@linuxopsys FFMpeg developers are real gangsters. Have been since they told DivX and others to get stuffed back in the day.
@linuxopsys Talk is cheap. Complaining is worth very little.
@linuxopsys that @sndwv_ likely consumes lots of stuff made using @FFmpeg
@linuxopsys Se le responde: "Intenté mandar parches pero no pude porque tu código es un desmadre"
@linuxopsys ahhh man I love when nerds fight with words... and patches.
