Really enjoyed this brilliant adaptation of Kim Thúy’s ‘Ru’ for the screen, though it has cemented my need for a badge reading ‘I’m okay, I’ve just seen a sad film’ to wear on the way home from the cinema

Putting it out there that there should be a #PitMad equivalent for literary translation pitches. (It's a quarterly pitch event where writers tweet a 280-character pitch for their MSs and interested editors and agents express interest via likes.) 💡

The English translation of Marcel Proust's Seventy-Five Folios (thought to be lost until they were rediscovered in 2018) is out today from Belknap Press. I had the pleasure of copy-editing it and Sam Taylor's translation is a joy to read! publishersweekly.com/978-0-674-2710…
