They tell us we are women & That if we are polite we will be upgraded to “pretty”So we quiet our mouths & lower our gaze-unconsciously pledge allegiance to deceptive scheme that our worth is in our bodies or in the approval of another. But I rebel in the way of the boxed in mind.

Somatic approach to envy or Jealousy...Add breath to the texture of what is showing up. Allow them to be but simultaneously hold your body in the shape of a woman who is not shrinking or hold your body in the shape of a woman who is not leaking her power.

Feeling envy? Energetically say I matter - I will not shrink here. Become aware of what happens in your body when you feel j/e. Does your chest cave in? tune into the shift in your body - in your thoughts/beliefs. Breathe through them.

If you feel jealous/envious in those moments try not to shrink-numb -emotionally disappear. No shrinking, freezing.. Instead learn the dance of allowing curiosity and tuning into the subtleties and emotions of what might be arising.

The mainstream culture wants us as women to be too preoccupied with how we look so we don’t even have time to birth let alone raise our visions. It wants us too insecure and consumed with fear to even think about burning the BS structures or systems down. But we can choose again.
