People talk about this supposed ‘autism being over-diagnosed’ hypothesis as if you can just turn up at Asda and ask for an autism diagnosis for £5.50. They’ve never been through the autism diagnostic process, and it shows.

The incredible coaching team at @typhoonsrufc deserve a medal 🏅 each week for the incredible work they do for the team. For me, not only around my hearing aids 🦻 but with my autism, through tears and confusion I actually can (just!) get through a game of rugby ! 🏉😊

This isn’t right and unfortunately isn’t a rare occurrence especially in CAMHS. patients end up waiting in unsuitable and unsafe places like a&e and s136 suites or unsafe in community. Which uses other resources and majorly effects the patient MH and care. This needs to change.
