Just a thought: postponing the Olympics to #Tokyo2021 might be perfect for the marathon. After all, it gives shoe companies a whole year to develop and catch up to Nike’s Alphafly. It’ll be a more level (and faster) playing field.

We all want someone who cares how we do, is invested in our improvement, and is there to fall back on if we fail. That’s why buy in from athletes is about first showing you care about them. Success only provides temporary buy in, actually caring provides long-term buy in.
