Day 3 - So many people turned to the arts and creativity during the lockdowns as it helped to give them a focus. Post lockdown, being creative is still important for many who need to continue finding ways to be present in the moment and direct their energies in a positive way.
Day two on the benefits of participating in the arts. We know through our creative activities work how difficult it is for some people to verbalise their feelings. Utilising dance moves, taking part in a drama class or painting a picture can be an alternative way to communicate.
My role at @Macrobert is to raise funds for various projects that utilise the arts to engage people from a range of backgrounds. Over the next few days I'm going to share with you some of the benefits that our participants gain from accessing creative activities.
Very excited that @Macrobert have received a local donation via @MADLcharity. We'll use this to continue breaking down barriers, ensuring more people can access the arts within our local communities
