Today it was a trip out to Wicken Fen. A nice 6.5 miles around the various walks. So peaceful with just the soundcof the birds and the wind blowing the rushes. Not sure who got spooked most, me or the Muntjac deer, as we turned the corner to face each other.

A trip out to the Bottisham Airfield Museum. Lots of good historical information about this short lived RAF airfield. Well worth the visit.

Too nice to be indoors today. So it was out for walk into town to pick up some bits & pieces. Then took the longer route home via the Blue Sage for some coffee & cheesecake. Now back home drinking coffee ☕️ & eating cake on the balcony. Think I deserve it after walking 9 miles.

The tomatoes 🍅 are now starting to ripen nicely. And there is a lot more of the appearing across all of the plants. The bees 🐝 are loving the lavender that is around the allotments.

So it looks like the tomatoes 🍅 are finally starting redden. With the next sunny days, the rest will do the same. Also discovered that I have some burrowing bees 🐝 at the edge of the allotment.

It is going to be a hot one today at the Coldhams Common @parkrun 24° at 9am. Good view from my Marshalling point at the gate.

We have different types of tomatoes 🍅 growing and now they are both starting show. The sweetcorn is coming along, just very slowly. And the carrots 🥕 are starting to grow more. It is just a shame that the weeds grow quicker than everything else.

Marshalling at @parkrunUK at Coldhams Common. And today it is celebrating Pride. It has also stopped raining 🌧 which is a bonus.

The first tomatoe has made and appearance. Pulled the first radishes and have now uncovered the peas. Need to put the frame up and netting to support the peas, that will be a weekend job.

A couple of hours spent in the allotment this morning. The bee was my constant companion. Tomatoes are now flowering, radishes are nearly ready. Onions, carrots, and sweetcorn now are now showing. Peas are also coming along nicely under the covers. Now, I am sat on the balcony.
