Timing of the snow is worse than the accumulation. Our district was right on the border of the snow. Part of our district got nothing and in a large portion of the district the roads are terrible, therefore we are closing today, Friday, March 8th.

We will be operating on a 2 hour delay today, Friday, March 8th. We will continue to monitor the weather during the next couple of hours and update accordingly.

The Jackson City School District is now going on a 2 hour delay today, February 11th. We will be reassessing the roads a little later, but as of now we hope to be able to have school on a 2 hour delay.

This is Rt. 139 and it is still snowing. We may have been able to have school today, but due to the unexpected snow during the night, along with the combination of the temperature, we will be closed today, Wed. January 30th.

As of right now we are still regular time tomorrow. A final decision will be made in the morning when we see what the temp actually is. We would have been out today if we had gone by the forecast last night for this morning, but we didn’t get the ice and flash freeze predicted.
