Does anyone know of any start-ups working on threat modeling tools?
@manicode The best by far is @IriusRisk (and yes, I am completely biased) I chair the TAB which includes @adamshostack @lauriewilliams and @abedra (not to mention the non-twittered German Markus Schumacher). @stephendv has built a thing.
@manicode @deepeddyinfosec Define “tools”. We’re building it into our product but its not going to be open-source or free.
@manicode @AaDyaSecurity in Detroit has a cool platform (aadyasecurity.com)
@manicode Not exactly a startup but an interesting approach threagile.io
@manicode There is always the Threat Dragon project. One of the lead devs works for me.
@manicode The two my team has baked off are @IriusRisk and @ThreatModeler. Both may or may not be startups depending on your definition.
@manicode Yes it’s risk
@manicode As someone who spent the last 5 years trying to find one and just building it myself for my developers, no. There are no companies doing this in a way that will ever get mass adoption. The entire problem is building "threat modeling" tools when what we need are engineering tools.
