Y'all masking? Day 13 of an international trip, 2 flights, 3 long train rides and I can't count how many subway/metro/tube rides. Here our simple rules. 1. Well fitting masks when indoors 2. Patio/Outdoor dining only(or takeaway) 3. Open window in hotel/apt. when there.
@masknerd Yes sir on a plane right now and masked up.
@masknerd Still masking, anything indoors i mask with a well fitted Aura 9330+ and stay in AirB&Bs iF i have to travel for work, still never infected with COVID
@masknerd I'm impressed as can be w our Helsinki hotel. Co2 in the low 400s even after a night's sleep w the windows closed
@masknerd @wrainbow_sky258 Same way. Last time I stayed in a hotel with windows on both sides, but next time I will also try to use a filter that can be easily set in the air conditioning unit. They are easy to remove and I think I can get approval from a hotel I know well. x.com/cleairwin_f/st…

@masknerd Please share how you manage it on the plane and airport. 6-11 Hours flights :-( with a 12y kid. How can we do it? looking for solutions and ideas. we all mask since the pandemic started, but I have no idea how to manage the flights/airport without getting infected. Thanks!
@masknerd Also on a multi day trip in Europe with much the same precautions - minus the subway / bus rides, went for Uber instead. Still get a queasy feeling from outdoor dining as oftentimes tables are squeezed way too close together 💀🫥
@masknerd Solid advice right here. Thank you Aaron for spreading useful tips! #YallMasking
@masknerd Encouraging to see it’s possible to be safe when travelling!
@masknerd Protect eye mucosa, too. Stoggles or at least glasses?
@masknerd Hotel is my concern with travel-do you worry about shared air between rooms at all? Maybe that is low-risk? We’ve only done trips with standalone cabins but I’d love to try a hotel just for ease of finding a place to stay. Thanks!
@masknerd Definitely do it. A friend just flew home from Europe with COVID. I asked her if she masked on the plane. She did not. I am questioning our friendship at this point.
@masknerd If you were remotely serious about it then you’d be wearing goggles too. 🙂
@masknerd You're all patting yourselves on the back for sensible Covid precautions, and yet flying about the world as if climate change wasn't happening, and flying wasn't one of the most destructive acts you could do. Covid isn't the only hazard.
@masknerd N95 when on a plane, KF94s everywhere else. Went a little more lax when dining or drinking indoors, but erred on sitting outside or near a window if possible (weather, seat availability, etc). Went two full international flights (11 hours one way, 8 hours) w/o eating or drinking
@masknerd Just emailed you about Airborne Aerosol 1O1. Please let us know what you think.
@masknerd Thoughts on the eyes drops as a layer of precaution?
@masknerd Don't visit any hospitals in the UK, as Covid is rife 🤧😡
@masknerd I feel like I was the *only* masked person anywhere when I was in London!
@masknerd Seek help . Your brains have been permanently scarred by the media
@masknerd How do you find a hotel where windows can open or has a balcony?? I can’t seem to ever find those types of hotels.
@masknerd Yes. Continuing to mask whenever travel! Especially on planes!
@masknerd have you had many mask issues in London? that place is the home of my ❤️
@masknerd Did you take a Hepa with you? Wondering which would be good for international travel. Small ones for the plane, but would want larger ones for the hotel/Airbnb. Please share your best patio dining spots!
@masknerd How do you make sure the hotel room air is safe if the windows can not be opened? How to fit the door seal gap?
@masknerd Add in mini hepa & portable Far UVC light MVP. Advocate for clean indoor air for all public indoor essential services including travel by contacting the EPA which has grants for business owners to upgrade the indoor air quality. You are doing a great job! This advocacy helps
@masknerd Hi Aaron and thanks for all you do! Can I ask which has been your go to mask for most of those scenarios?
@masknerd Yes!! This worked for me for two years of wonderful traveling. Then I let my guard down and ate in a crowded restaurant on a trip with friends. Didn’t mask like I normally would cuz my CO2 meter was reading low and it was 107 outside. Got covid. Do not give in. Even once. 😑
