I dreamt that all the lovely people were at the Lubber Fiend doing karaoke. The collective song chosen was "Higher" by Creed, and it was done so well, with everyone joining in the post-grunge liturgy, that people came filing in from outside off the street in awestruck wonder.

I dreamt I was the lead in an am dram performance of a play, the script of which I was never given until going on stage. I stormed out in protest and everyone made me feel like a prima donna.

I dreamt I met a woman who told me to stop speaking in a Yorkshire accent, and I said I couldn't because I was from Yorkshire, and she said she didn't care and that she didn't appreciate how aggressively I was speaking. And I was so shocked by this that I woke up.

I dreamt that I was Citizen Kane but also Sutter Cane and K in The Castle. I had to solve a murder mystery (that I eventually learned was about me) in order to win a tenancy in a flat. It was a race to crack the case and I had to do it without getting out of an canoe.

I dreamt that a friend, unbeknownst to myself & others, hadn't been around for a few months cos they'd become a victim of modern slavery but managed to escape and were on the run — a fact shamefully forgotten about when someone else told me my ex was on their way with a new date.

I dreamt I worked at the FA and was embarrassingly fired in front of everyone at the AGM because I couldn't meaningfully convince anyone that I actually liked football.

I dreamt I moved to California, next to a uni campus. Richard Skelton was doing a talk & everyone I've ever admired was there. I wanted to meet people but kept getting narcoleptic attacks. I woke up on campus at night. The fire dept had been called & chased me off with a hose.

I dreamt I came out as nonbinary in the bath and wrote a book in a single day, before flying a helicopter to Liverpool asleep and crashing it into the Alps on the way home.

I had a dream that my Dad learnt to animate and made this unhinged video of a chicken clucking very aggressively, but it had a real rhythm to it and we realised he'd accidentally made a chicken cover of "Freak On A Leash".

I dreamt about moving again, but had to make a magic potion to get into my new house. I misread an old recipe and sent someone off on a mission to go and get blood from a dragon when what I really needed was to get it from an enchanted little mole.
