My son has texted me that an FA Cup commentator, when describing a piece of poor play yesterday, suggested it might appear on the Christmas bloopers tape. He’s 19 and he wasn’t aware of the concept. @FootballCliches

It’s actually happening. The infamous cup slips of the past are just that, they’re in the past. Today for the 1st time since the day I first walked into the ground as a 10 year old boy and fell in love with the club, we gather together to watch us play in the FA Cup first round.
