We’ve just been terrorised by an enormous bumble bee, twice the size of my thumb. At one point we considered just locking up and moving house. I managed to get it out of the window, but there was a lot of screaming, mostly from my husband. 🐝

Today is Marcel Marceau’s centenary. My friend and I went to see him in Manchester in the 80s at a matinee show because we couldn’t afford the evening performance, and we were the only two people there. It was beautiful and heartbreaking. Isn’t this photo stunning?

Happy Lancashire Day! 🌹🥳 We are having Lancashire Hotpot (made with Quorn, lol) with parched peas, followed by Beaconfell Cheese and Eccles Cakes for AFTERS! I will spend the day going to the foot of our stairs, where I’ll stand like cheese at fourpence. 😀 By gum!
