Back in the late 90s i worked at a gamedev company where we did a game about a skunk and a beaver, called Stinky & Beaver. Apparently the UK distributer was NOT happy with the naming or the box art. I can’t remember the exact changes we had to make though 🤷🏼‍♂️😂

This is my home desktop setup right now. Ubuntu Linux with XFCE fully customized to look like windows 95. It's blazing fast, and i am amazed at how productive it enables me to be, and how unobtrusive a so familiar and clean UI is. #ui #win95 #clion #chicago95 #gamedev #cpp

This is why i spend far too much time making games for ancient systems. It makes it all worth it when i see a random stranger, actually take time to download it and put it on a real floppy disk. Thank you so much for making my day Andreu :)

I was just showing my GF that i could actually display the title screen from a GB game in my emulator, and in the same second the game just started running and animating 🤯 Still a lot of work to do, but just getting something on screen was an amazing feeling! #emudev #gameboy

Debugging my Z80 emulator, but suddenly the MEKA emulator i'm doing comparisons with is driving me nuts. The hex file clearly says 0xC3 0x79 but MEKA displays 0x18 0x65 which is a completely different opcode!? @ocornut do you have any clue?

I made a small debugger with #imgui for my #Z80 emulator. Really fun to see it alive and running actual Z80 code! Working through a Z80 instruction set exerciser program, and trying to find all the potential bugs, before moving on to implementing video chips.

This is the intended destination for my Z80 emulator. I’m not completely sure if i’m going to code a Gameboy, Master System or an 80s CP/M based z80 home computer emulator on top of it though. I do know that i intend to run it bare metal on the rpi pico with this cute display

This engineering marvel is my daily workhorse at home. Both my PSX demo for Revision and the EGA DOS game was written on it, and now a Z80 emulator in the works. It has such a nice dampened low frequency sound, that i don’t get tired of all the clicky’di’click sounds myself

I’m almost delirious from implementing Z80 opcodes, including the undocumentet ones. I actually dreamt of the opcode chart last night! (not kidding). @bigevilboss is there light at the end of the tunnel? will i be greatly rewarded for my suffering and tenacity? #emudev #z80 #cpp
