Maybe it doesn’t mean shit to some. But I risked my life for this country in the belief that people I didn’t know or see, would protect my life and my identity. Even today there are things about what I did and saw that remain secret, and will for a long time. Don’t normalize this

The student loans conversation really shows how evil-minded people can be. If something goes to make other people’s lives easier, they react as if it’s a personal insult to them and really argue that people should be made to suffer unnecessarily.

Not only not surprised. I would 100% expect this behavior from Meta. Another reason I'd never work there. Where are your ethics Meta employees? As a dev. There is no way you should be creating code like this - it is absolutely black hat behavior.

Cautiously approaching interactions at work doesn't prevent dumb mistakes. Most of the mistakes are unavoidable & abundant caution just defers mistakes and slows growth. Get out of your comfort zone. Make mistakes, LEARN, APPLY. Don't lose years or decades deferring. Grow now!
