The Epping Bell Hotel migrant must obviously be deported. But it is very concerning his barrister tried to insinuate that the girls had made up the event because they were “angry” he was an “asylum seeker”.
The asylum budget has increased nearly tenfold since 2019. Rather than waste billions on hotels or HMOs, we must direct funds towards the construction of detention facilities.
Mass migration was put on steroids by the last government, causing huge social and economic damage. We now need a sustained period of net negative migration. Scrap ILR. End the benefits.

The BBC is reporting that the Government is going to tighten refugee family reunion rules, this is good news. In 2022, the Home Office issued 4,118 refugee family reunion visas. In 2024, they issued 19,258, an increase of 368% in just two years.
