I see both camps: "We’re cool because we use MPC/TEE/FHE." "We’re cool because we use ZK instead of MPC/TEE/FHE." My take: nobody should care. What matters is delivering products that work and meet security standards. The tech stack is secondary.

the average user will 1) not ask for privacy until its implemented 2) don't care about it as long as it doesn't feel off 3) go to war once someone wants to take it away crypto will soon be in 2) and it will not take for 3) and make everyone fight to never let it go again

Transparency is great for trust, but public ledgers expose user data like nothing before. We need shielded pools that protect everyday users while still thwarting illicit behavior. Accountability + privacy = mass adoption.
