25 years ago today, the Lightning signed free agent Martin St-Louis. St-Louis had been with the Flames but after he wasn't picked in the 2000 expansion draft, they bought out his contract. Four years later, he won the Art Ross, the Hart, and the Ted Lindsay #Hockey365 #GoBolts
@mikecommito Would have been nice to see him play for the Blues, have Miroslav Satan play for the Devils, and have Paul Ranger play in New York
@mikecommito Hockey talent scouts biggest screw up. The dude was among the best we ever had.
@mikecommito @TBLightning @ReviewLightning MSL will always be my GOAT @NHL @NHLPA
@mikecommito MSL on the NYR > MSL on the TBL
@mikecommito And went on to coach the montreal canadiens to their 25th Stanley cup (it’s coming, folks)
@mikecommito Remember watching him on the first line in an exhibition game when the Flames were in Vancouver. He played amazing but I knew Brian Sutter would only bury him on the 4th line if he made their team. When he was a Bolt, he was always my last hockey pool pick. Cashed in for awhile.
@mikecommito Our broke mine and fellow flames fans hearts! (It was in)
