Mini Sewing Bee @minisewingbee

My 5&6 sewing bee's asked to make a drawstring backpack with bee fabric & I thought it was a great project to end the year with ready for summer. They have all done such an amazing job with this project. Good luck to you all in your new year groups. @MrGarley @Year5IJS @Year6IJS

My year 1&2 sewing bee's had their last sewing class yesterday. They finished their treat bags & also had time to make a hanging butterfly too. They have made some fab projects over the year & have all became great sewers. @INISMrsMarshall @INISYear1 @INISYear2

We got out a little late today but for my Sewing Bee's it was totally worth every moment. They all made a draw string bag which quickly turned into a treat bag with a parting gift of sweets in our last class of the year. @year3ijs @Year4IJS @MrGarley

A few more dinosaurs from my year 5&6 Mini Sewing Bee's. They chose and cut out their own fabric. After sewing and stuffing the body of the dinosaurs they embellished them in their own style. They have all turned out fantastic. @MrGarley @Year6IJS @Year5IJS

Eight double sided dinosaurs all made with love and care. The children really enjoyed making this project. We used two different fabric panels to make up the body and pompoms to add details of the plates and eyes. @INISMrsMarshall @INISYear1 @INISYear2

The first few double sided, plush dinosaurs have been made. The children chose between two dinosaurs templates and cut out their own patterns. They have sewn, stuffed and decorated their dinos, and have all done an amazing job. @MrGarley @year3ijs @Year4IJS

Year 5&6 sewing bee's had great fun today as they were free to make what they wanted using felt. There were ice-creams, ice lollies, butterflies, monsters, pillows and a glasses case made as well as their doughnuts which they started week previous. @MrGarley @Year5IJS @Year6IJS

My year 3&4 sewing bee's have enjoyed making a tasty treat to hang on their bedroom doors. They had a lot of fun adding and creating characters for their doughnuts. @year3ijs @Year4IJS @MrGarley

My year 1&2Sewing Bee's used mesh squares & wool to create a picture. Some chose to copy my picture of a house & some chose to do their own design. This is a great way to practice sewing skills& be creative. They have all done a great job. @INISYear2 @INISYear1 @INISMrsMarshall

My year 5&6 sewing bee's made beautiful coasters last week. They used wool to sew with and had a choice of shaped templates. The children designed own pattern. This week we have started to make a cushion using corduroy, cotton and linen fabric. @Year5IJS @Year6IJS @MrGarley

This week the children made bunting to match their flag from last week. Some found it a bit tricky and some got on with it well. They helped each other with their individual strengths and have produced amazing projects. Well done @Year5IJS @Year6IJS . @MrGarley
