The problem with academics is the arrogance displayed after finishing their studies and how they look down on everybody else. This stops them from learning more. They forget that finishing their studies is not the end of learning but rather the beginning.

Have always been in favor of the EU but when considering what that has meant for the industry in Europe the last 10 years I feel like crying. The de-industrialization is in full swing and with it the economic decline. The high energy costs is killing us!!

Rationality is gone. Whether it’s about nuclear or climate change. Everything becomes quasi religious in its fanatism. Is it education or lack thereof? Is it the social media? Or just simply the spiral of dumbness from one generation of teachers to the next?is it fear?

Let me get this straight: EU by lack of vision or by ignorance allows the energy prices to rise out of control thereby dooming the competitive position of their own manufacturers and then puts tariffs on imports from people that were not as dumb or short sighted?? Will not work.

Somebody should explain the US and EU that tariffs dont work. The Chinese EV cars are a step forward and if Europe and the US put tariffs on them they will simply look for another export market. They are a good product at a good price.

So probably with a Russian warship and sub parading in front of Florida making everybody nervous the U.S. might understand the feeling China has with the U.S. navy parading in the South China Sea.
