If the object you just created "encapsulates" its dependencies ONLY, that's a pretty procedural object. You just created a bag of procedures, later most probably you will start throwing bags of data at it. This is no proper encapsulation and no proper object code. #NotMyOop
I feel the need for a new edition of "Working effectively with legacy code" where legacy code is defined as code having super granular mock-heavy unit tests only. Also known as mock hell. Mocks returning mocks, returning other mocks. How can you possibly inhabit that?
"That's how it's done in the code that I copy/pasted from other parts of the project so it must be correct" is not a response to my request to explain it. I didn't question its correctness.
