Wait, is that what Phobos looks like?! At the Communication Hall on the JAXA Sagamihara Campus, a model of Phobos is now on display next to the model MMX! The scale is about 1:75,000. The actual (longest) diameter of Phobos is 27km. Do check out the craters on the surface!
A space exhibition is being held at the Chiba Institute of Technology Tokyo Skytree Town Campus, featuring the 1/2-scale model of MMX! From August 6~8, there will also be live talks on the mission (no reservation required). More details here: perc.it-chiba.ac.jp/news/2025/07/1…
The “Space Science Symposium” was recently held at ISAS where current and future mission plans are discussed. MMX appeared in the poster session, with topics including surface exploration, sample analysis and the international program! Our team also came dressed for the occasion.

We’re on the cover! The June edition of #ISASNews features a photograph of the #MMX spacecraft, showing the return and exploration modules after the thermal vacuum test. Heading onwards, the propulsion module will be attached and the spacecraft will undergo a mechanical test.
