What's happening now is we have until the session adjourns tonight to get the votes. Take a deep breath and TAG NON-VOTERS ON SOCIAL MEDIA!
Infinite love and gratitude for all the YIMBYs who sent calls, texts, and emails to make this happen. We don't have power in the building because we have deep pockets or a revolving door. We have power because of YOU. I always tell my team: we work for YOU.
@mnolangray Happy it passed. Disappointed yet again that @MariaEDurazo voted against the interests of her constituents. Every year we wait to produce more housing means more vulnerable people are displaced!
@mnolangray Disappointed that @Lola_Smallwood abstained. So many buildings in the district are currently illegal because of explicitly exclusionary downzonings. The data is clear: we need to reduce displacement pressure by undoing the past & allowing the kinds of apts already in L.A.!
@mnolangray Baffled that my ca yimby endorsed state senator, who I didn’t even bother calling, voted against this. What gives @SenBlakespear ?
@mnolangray I’m extremely disappointed by @SenDaveCortese not supporting this excellent measure. I hope votes aye on concurrence.
@mnolangray ONE STEP CLOSER TO SAN FRANSOKYO BEING REAL, YAY
@mnolangray Passage should be more assured in the assembly?
@mnolangray @CohenSite I wonder why my representative @SenMariaEDurazo voted no.
@mnolangray This is great! I am wondering why @BenAllenCA didn’t vote. Very disappointing.
@mnolangray Congratulations
@mnolangray Happy it passed! A bit bummed it's still subject to local IZ requirements but one day at a time I suppose. The 25% IZ requirement for transit-owned land is absurd though.
