I could give you some insight, but it would be breach of trust. I built systems that these folks used to do internal assessments and staff development. You cannot run heavy industries on load shedding. The years and years of electricity problems took their toll. My dad used to work for steel mills. You donāt just flick the power switch. These places MUST run 24/7 to be profitable. The delays and shutdowns cause massive problems and runaway costs. Impossible to do business, especially when you have to compete with cheap imports from China.

Yo FBM, I see they really irked(at the wrong people) now that this privatization disaster is revealing itself. @RobertHersov elsewhere, is spewing kak about "keep government out of business"..blah blah blah..When its evident that privatization of more entities are more mayhem waiting to happen. The financial media never reports on the struggling privatized entities(also bailed out). SAA was a mess, fortunately not finalised. Yet there are substantial SOC's performing well without private meddling ..This scourge must be fought on all fronts!
